Grant is the founder and principal of Nord Group, bringing a dynamic blend of experience across urban planning, small-scale real estate development, public administration, and strategic consulting. Grant leads with a clear vision: to create meaningful, place-based work and impactful projects that strengthen communities and inspire new possibilities.
With a background in both the public and private sectors, Grant’s work bridges disciplines and connects people—igniting ideas, guiding complex initiatives, and cultivating relationships that drive long-term impact across Michigan. At his core, he is a community-builder, a systems thinker, and a trailblazing connector dedicated to shaping the future of place.
Grant possesses extensive knowledge of local government and planning, having served the City of Midland for over 9 years as the Director of Planning and Community Development, and the Community Development Planner. Additionally, his portfolio of work includes experience in small business, sales, and a host of entitlement and project facilitation for private-sector clients.
